Beautiful backgroundJan 18, 2011
By laura Love the background. It was shipped very quickly, and once applied, it looks beautiful!!! Highly recommend! Be sure and put how many feet you need, when you order. I forgot initially, and realized my mistake in time to cancel it, then reorder appropriately! Looks best if applied using background mounting and illumination gel.

DefectiveOct 17, 2011
By Edward Most are made by Marineland,I have had three of these and everyone has bleed through showing print lines as well as dark spots that spread all over. I blocked out the back with black construction paper and it still bleed through. All I have is an Aquarium floresint bulb that is 48 inches long. I don't believe quality control was checked, on this product. I'm having problems with the company. Dry tanks small tank this is fine but for 40 or above nothing last have tried 3 different backgrounds 6 pictures that all were defective. Some would make it a week even two then dark spots, then it gets worse. Save your receipts an contact Marineland. Just wanted to let others know.

So Simple, It's Genius: A 3D Ocean Photo For An Aquarium Background!Sep 14, 2011
By Nancy Lynn King-Badran I HIGHLY recommend this unique, 3D take on an aquarium background.
The idea: simple and beautiful. Take a super-bright photo with dimension and use it as a background for an aquarium tank. Why didn't anybody ever think of this before?
Once installed, the background gives the illusion that you are looking into some kind of portal into the actual ocean, further amplifying the already escape-inducing effects of viewing an aquarium.
I bought this 3D aquarium background as a part of an aquarium set up, a gift to my son on his eighth birthday.
The blue color is stunning, the perfect shade of blue, with all the details and shadows of ripples of water. It is a high-voltage blue, especially when lit with blue LED lights.
The picture is large to accommodate various tank sizes, but worked just fine in my son's little 10 gallon tank. I just trimmed it down some on the top and bottom. The effect is the same no matter the tank size, as long as you center the darkest part in the middle of the tank.
The background gives the illusion of really being there, in the water, with the fish. The foreground fades to a deep blue, adding depth, like the water in the tank goes as far as the eye can see. The top looks exactly like the surface of the water when viewed from underneath, and then the bottom is detailed with endless sand ridges from the waves.
Extremely beautiful. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Well worth the money!
Oh, don't forget to seal it with Sea View Aquarium Sealer. It isn't a perfect product, but far superior to just taping the background up on the back of your tank. The sealer is key to getting the full 3D effect of this background.
Enjoy, lil' fishies!
Seascape Aquarium BackgroundOct 23, 2011

Leaving out information/not providing complete information on the product is the same thing as lying. You need a glue to properly attach the background to the aquarium. I had to buy the glue separately from a local pet store. The glue is very similar to olive oil and was a mess to put onto the aquarium. Trying to remove the air bubbles was a hassle. After it was done, the background was not as pretty as I thought it would be. A few weeks later I slid the background off, cleaned up the oily mess and am happy without a background. This product was a disappointment. Not worth the amount paid for, AND you can get it for cheaper at your local pet store (if you still want a background).
