The "Aqua Garden" works Great with Similar Color Aquarium RocksSep 18, 2010

~ Put some WOW into your aquarium ~
The "Aqua Garden" works great with similar color aquarium rocks and a little "Bogwood" or "Driftwood" and a balanced amount of aquarium plants and fish.
Be sure to use the SeaView mounting system that you can find on Amazon for just under $4 -- it reminds me of mineral oil. Make sure you cut to fit your aquarium
back and have a straight edge on top and straight edges on the sides (I used a T-Square). Then using you hands apply the SeaView mounting "oil" to the front side and place it against the back of your aquarium using a plastic ruler to work out
any bubbles. Have some paper towels handy to wipe your hands from the "oil" and
you have a background made for your aquarium.
An aquarium background is just that "a background," not the key focal area of your aquarium which is your layout, rocks, bogwood/driftwood, plants, and fish. Many of your plants, rocks, bogwood, and substrate will cover the background; and, for that reason you don't really need to be concerned about the bottom edge being strait as it and a couple or more inches on the bottom will be obscured by garvel/substrate.
Kept the "1.6:1 ratio" in mind while planing your layout, or if you like keep in mind the photographer's "rule of thirds" to keep you key focal point in your layout off the center somewhat.
I am really pleased I was able to get my rock custom packaged for my aquarium by "roydawg7" on the big auction site online and it came from a great co-ordination of thoroughly washed rocks from eastern Nevada near the national park there. This selection of rocks along with a big and a small piece of bogwood and some great plants and fish really look their best against this background.
Check for other SeaView backgrounds to find the ones that will work best for you; enjoy!
Please note this is for a very long roll of the background - 50 feet wide by 24 inches high. It does come in 72 inches wide by 24 inches high, which may be adequate for your needs and for substantially less cost; however, at the time of this review I did not find this size on Amazon.com.
