We read the brief instructions, followed them, and had a nice collection of brine shrimp hatch just over 24 hours later. The setup with the collection bottle on top works, making it easy to collect the shrimp. All it requires is tap water. We used a lamp to heat up the whole box, a small table lamp with a CFL.

The shrimp hatched. I didn't harvest as many I should have. I think you really need an air bubbler or they just sit on the bottom and mold.

I have this product and it works just fine. It is not designed for large quantity hatching, but it is not a problem for me. I hope the other users who had problem with it actually read the instruction and followed it exactly. Otherwise, it will not work!

Didn't work and seller didn't refund my moneyJan 27, 2011

This item is a gimmick item, doesn't work. That's not the sellers fault but returning it and after 20+ days and still no refund is their fault. I've contacted them 3 times and they keep saying their returns are backed up. So again, 20 days later no refund even though their policy says I'd get my refund 7-10 days. Beware that if you purchase something from this seller and have to return it for any reason, chances are you may not get your money back!
Sorry Ozbo, you dropped the ball on this! Your my first negative review here on Amazon and i've purchased hundreds of items.

I have used this for years. Sure, you will not be able to to raise seahorses with it but to feed fry with it is fine. you need a small air pump and stone for best results. to collect but a flash on top of the collection jar.
