5Works great!Sep 09, 2010

My dog had a really nasty looking rash and I had to wait to take him to the vet because it was a weekend. My mom dropped a bottle of this stuff off and I started putting it on his rash two to three times a day. I noticed a change immediately and within a week the rash was gone. We were really starting to panic when he had this rash, but this stuff worked sooo well! We keep it in our house all the time now just in case he gets a hot spot or rash.

5SAVE $$$, Cures Hotspots Quick & CheapJun 07, 2011
By Alexandra126 "Alexandra126"
I bought this at a local petstore not really expecting anything but I was desperate. My Golden Retriever had insane hot spots and last time I took him to the vet I was charged close to $200 for the exam, cone, and prescriptions. I can't afford to do that every time. This summer he began chewing his tail and got a horrible scaling/rash. I pour this on his tail and he immediately didn't touch it again. It has a bitter taste to it but the substance is like a less sticky honey. He jumped a little bit when I first poured it on but made no other movement when I reapplied it later that day. The directions say to shave off the hair before applying but I didn't b/c it would mean my poor dog would have a dozen bald spots. This stuff worked anyways. I am a true believer that sometimes cheap stuff does work. I noticed Amazon's price is half of what major petstores charge and the small bottle should last you a month even when using it on a large breed known for notorious skin problems.

5Definitely worked as promised.Sep 06, 2011

There are times when the old remedies work better then some of the new ones. I tried Oatmeal shampoo and all the other "all natural, happy horse pucky" products. I remember using tar oil when we were kids, yes I'm old. This still stinks as bad, not a lasting smell, just a bit like gasoline at first, as it always did. The important part is it worked. It works well, and immediately. I didn't even have to give my dog Yoga lessons with Tea Tree oil supplements, just plain old fashioned Sulfodene. Good to know these effective old remedies are still out there.

5the best ever !!Aug 01, 2011

My german shepherd had a hot spot on her front left leg. She was nibbling at it to the point of almost making a sore. If I took her to the Vet she would wear a collar and get steriods and I didn't want either for her. I asked someone and they recommended sulfodene. My dog licks and eats "everything". She hated the smell and did not lick it. I had to be sure to put enough on and not just "dab it". I really never thought it possible ! This is going to be a staple on my shelf. I'm sorry I didn't know about it sooner. Believe me I'm spreading the word !

5Effective and easy to use!Dec 07, 2011
By Loren G. Martin "llama man"
The elderly Australian shepherd whom I'm adopting from a local rescue group had awful itching areas above his tail where he had nearly scratched himself raw. I simply apply this product with a clean cotton ball, and the problem has now completely disappeared. I highly recommend this product in addition to a dietary supplement to add essential oils and zinc to the diet of your pet if it has this problem. Thanks!
