This stuff is great - my chins definately recommend it. Much preferred over the bulk foods I can buy locally. One bag lasts me a month (along with Timothy Hay) so this isn't that expensive in the long run.
No problems with their digestion - other than they are little pigs when I feed them. :-)

I purchase this item for my 2 chinchillas, Tank and Tony. They LOVE this food. Tank is a little piggy, and when he hears mommy opening the food bag he goes insane! I sit on the floor when I fill his food dish up and he stands on my legs and begs for me to give him a few little pieces.
The food is mainly pellets, but there are a TON of things added into it. Pine cones is one thing for example. About 30% of this mix is delicious nutritious things for them to eat while also eating the pellets.
The smell of this food is an added bonus. It has a sweet smell. Most animal foods to me smell disgusting but I actually enjoy the smell of this one.
If your chin loves treats I would recommend this 100% to you as your chinchilla will LOVE it.

I recently switched to this from some generic chinchilla food. He had diarrhea for a few weeks so I tried a change in diet. Not sure it was the sole reason but it went away shortly after. More importantly, he eats much better now. This food actually smells good and has nice little treats in it. He occasionally chews the pinecones, but it's not his favorite. I like the mix of grasses too.

I have tried countless chinchilla foods for my 15 yr. old chin. This is the only food he will eat both the pellets and the goodies. I have tried other Sunseed formulas, Charlie Chinchilla, Oxbow, Kaytee, etc., but he only likes this. It's a little more expensive than some others, but it's worth it because I'm not throwing it out.

I had previously ordered this same product from a different company and I was less than impressed. This time it arrived quickly and more importantly, in perfect condition. The last time I'd ordered food online, there was at least 2 inches of dust and crumbs from the package being smushed and moved around, but this time it was in the same condition as if I had purchased it from a store. Perfect!
