If you don't have means to get shredded paper and coconut fibers then this is a great item. The price you would think is a little high at first, however, the gerbils we had really seem to like this item.

I have five mice. The paper is good but the coconut husk is though and I had a big chuck that would not come apart. The coconut that I did get a part they still would not use it for there nesting. I bought another bag to try one more time and still did not like the coconut husk. So I just use toilet paper, cotton, and make my own paper nesting.
