4How to installSep 18, 2010
By Maureen B. Karsten
Okay,, I could be like the other reviewer and just tell you I figured out how to do it right, but I was so mad at him for not helping, that I am writting my first Amazon review to share how to assemble the upper loop. I am also annoyed with Crittertrail for providing horrible instructions and no on line help. Anyway, there is one of the short tubes that has two groves on it, ours was blue. you need to install that through one of the holes from inside the cage. It is really hard because the clips want to latch on to the first groove and not allow the tube to go up further. Push it up to the second groove. This will allow you to put one of the plastic locking rings on top and attach the rest of the loop. Be sure to push the ring down all the way before you put the upper tube on so it is really stable. You also need to clear out some bedding because the tunnel goes pretty low.

3Cute, but not stableApr 25, 2009

I had to put folded up paper around the tube where it connects to the cage because it isn't a tight fit. My cage is the same brand so should be compatable but I'm not impressed.

2Looks Cooler in the PhotoMar 24, 2006
By Stephanie Anne "music & book nut"
I really wanted to get this for my active hamster, hoping it would give her something else to explore instead of begging to be out of her cage all the time. I finally bought it, and its been a disappointment. It didn't come with assembly instructions like CritterTrail's cages, and I still haven't figured out how to get it to attach to the lid of the cage so that the tube is stable. (I'm talking about the tube inside the cage.) The first time my hamster checked it out, it moved on her, and I think it spooked her; I've not seen or heard her in it since. I'm hopeful she'll come back to it, because I'd hate to think I spent this money for nothing when I could have used it something more interesting for her! This would appear to one of those "it was better at the store" purchases.

2Not very stableAug 25, 2009
By B.L.
It looks more fun than it ended up being in practice.

We were using the CritterTrail 2 cage (from the same manufacturer), so we expected a decent level of compatibility, but the pieces never seemed to fit together quite right. Our hamster did sleep up in the circular section a few times, but I was so uneasy about the possibility that it'd fall over one day (and either injure the hamster or permit her to escape) that I finally decided to just remove it entirely.

It's possible that we set it up wrong, but directions were absent (and there was no explanation on the manufacturer website either) so we were just doing whatever looked like it was how it was probably meant to fit.

The main component works well. When adding the second section the item becomes very top heavy and tilts. Hamster has started using it as his sleeping area.
Use the second component with the bubble as an exercise ring. Turn it different directions to make it challenging.
