Overall this is a good product. When assembling, I ended up having to superglue the peices together to make it hamster safe. (Make sure to air it our for a few days!) Now, my hamster sleeps in it, stores his food in it, and even manages to stuff all the extra space with bedding, which is quite amusing being he has to carry it up a tube mouthful by mouthful. The rubber loops that attach to the tubes are also compatable with the Critter Trail Tube Extensions, so this playground can be put in or out of the main cage. I wouldn't suggest using it as a main cage however, it would be to small. Also, the main pannels I recieved were not clear as in the picture, so its a little harder to see your pet when he is in it. (check out the customer images to see my design :)

This can be a little feisty to put together the first time, but once you get the hang of how the pieces snap together, it's easy. My hamsters absolutely adore the creations I've put together for them using this set. And best of all, the tunnels you can build are big enough for a full-grown adult Syrian hamster to use with ease!

This product is EXTREMELY frustrating. While putting it together, you have to be very careful, or the parts you already assembled pop apart. It may be imaginative, but imagination turns into frustration very quickly. CLEANING the product is also a pain, as you will likely have to take apart some of it to get it cleaned, then you have to go through the annoying process of putting it back together again.
I do not recommend this product at all. Spring for the tubes and compartments that are already assembled if you want to be creative.

My hamsters love these things. They're customizeable and translucent so that I can always see my hammies. I change it up every so often so that my hamsters won't get bored.
However, don't think these connect to any normal (SAM, Crittertrail) sized tubes or anything. And it's difficult to assemble.

My hamster has had this in her cage for over a year, she loves to climb all over this toy, and sleeps inside it. Sometimes she stuffs it too much with toilet paper and bedding that parts of this toy snap apart, and fixing it only makes the other pieces snap apart. :|
