I have a guinea pig that is now 8 years old (life expectancy for a guinea pig is 5-8 years!) I started using the Gerty brand food about two years ago. My local Petco carried it. They have since stopped carrying it - I don't know why. My guinea pig (Honey) will not eat any other brand now. I purchased another brand since I couldn't get the Gerty and Honey hasn't touched it. I am now going to order her food from Amazon as they DO have it in stock.

I get mine locally because it is cheaper. My guinea pig absolutely loves this stuff. Well worth it! Try it, you will never go back.

I was looking for a a great brand of food for our guinea pigs. We r new to guinea pigs and wanted nothing but the best. I happen to come across this brand, and the reviews r true! Our guinea pigs went nuts over it, u could not pull them away from the food dish. It is packed full of grains, vegs, fruits, and a very small amount of the pellets. Not like some guinea pig food that is mostly pellets with here and there dried veg's/fruits. I will be buying this for now on, u can not go wrong.

This is the only food my little monsters will eat. It's a nice mix of alfalfa pellets and bits of grain and dried vegetable, and it's keeping my piggies happy and healthy--they have lots of energy and with free feeding along with timothy hay they stay at a good "guinea pig chubby, but not roly-poly chubby" weight. The price on Amazon is much better than in the stores and if your pigs like it, this food is well worth getting in bulk.
