This package arrived ahead of schedule, and was well packaged. Exactly what we needed. The filters are unassembled, which is fine with me - my four year old is learning to take care of his tank so putting these together is perfect!!

What else can I say. This is a great product, from a great company. Most of my aquarium equipment comes from Tetra because they have earned my trust. They make quality products, for a great price. This Bio-Bag helps keep the tank clean and the fish healthy.

If you have this size of filter this is probably the most economical way to go versus a pet supply. This is my second box and now having two frames means I can just swap them. The filter is fairly easy to assemble. I have found it is best to have the frame in the filter bag and then add the charcoal. The reason 4 stars is I have used the pre-assembled filter material and charcoal and its seems to be better at cleaning, but there is a significant cost difference.
The filter is used on a sand bed 20 gal turtle tank that has a lone half century old mud turtle, a dozen feeder minnows and a few plants. Nothing too delicate in terms of water needs so can't say how it conditions the water. Water looks clean and doesn't smell bad. The tank does get direct sunlight for the turtle so algae is the bulk of the problem. Do use a ZooMed power sweep head to keep the water moving.

Product was delivered as promised and works well. The assembly of the cartridges is easy and straight forward as long as you use scissors to open the packages of charcoal.

Whisper Bio-Bag Fish filters cost less thur Amazon then the Pet Shop. We have goldfish, so we change the filter once a week. I have been using this product for several years.
