I own five filters that use these cartridges and they work very well, however I found that if you buy the Tetra 26160 Whisper Bio-Bag Cartridge, Unassembled, Medium, 12-Pack you're going to save $$$.
You can reuse the plastic frames (recycle, recycle) from these cartridges. You'll end up paying less than a buck a piece for the Unassembled ones!
They look and work the same.
They are both manufactured by the same company, Tetra.

These really are good quality filters :)I have bought several boxes of them before and haven't ran across a defective one. These cartridges keep my turtles swimming water crystal clear all the time.
I suggest looking around on Amazon to buy these filters though. At Petco and pet stores you're going to pay about $10.00 for a pack of 3. On Amazon I have found these a pack of 3 for about $5.00 -$6.00. Still fairly pricey but a lot better than $10.00 for 3 cartridges.

Very good product and remember to change filter to help keep water clear. For the price you can not go wrong and keep in mind the name tetra is well knowen.

These filters seem to work well for a short period of time, but they are only good for a few days if you are buying them for use in a turtle habitat.

These replacement filters were impossible for me to find at my local pet stores. Even big name retailers (Petland, Petco, etc.) never had the product. I considered purchasing the unassembled packs as they are cheaper but I don't know if I'd be able to do it correctly (plus I'm lazy so these already assembled replacements work perfect for me). They are convenient and no hassle, simply remove your old filter and place this one it's place, worth the price!
