I've been running this pump all summer, and it is fantastic! I have debris problems with a river birch that dumps leaves at the slightest hint of drought, but this pump keeps on working. Input is easily cleared up with a net or ground up by the pump. Very low to no maintenance required. Tetra hit a four bagger with this one.

this is a great pump and as it is from tetra i knew that when i ordered it. shipping was quick and easy. it actually came on the expected date. just out the box and placed it in water for a few mins, connected the hose and it was good to go.
my original pump died so the pond water was cloudy but the tetra pump cleaned up the whole thing within a day. i am sure my fish are happier.
great product and feel worth it.

I would have giving this five stars at first but This was a replacement for the same type as the first only lasted 8 months, hoping this will last a bit longer. The first was sent back to Tetra for warranty and they replaced it with a new one. Seems the impeller was rubbing on the back casing causing it to overload and cut out on heat build-up. Great pressure and flow is the best I have had out of five differant pumps. Cheaper to run as well!!!

So far so good. A pond service guy I called was recommending a whole new setup for my very dirty pond (abandoned for months by the previous owner). I guess his recommendation of an external pump and humongous new filter and all new piping made more "sense", but the $4k plus price tag scared me off. I ordered this pump and it started pumping out a very pleasing and fast stream right away. My pond still has too much algae but for that I'm going to try the filter from the same company next. And the pomp appears to be having no issues even though there is plenty of small debris in my pond. All in all, very pleased so far. And oh, it was a snap to install the necessary pipes, I just needed to go to Home Depot to get the correct sized pipes and flexible connectors.
In another miracle, 3 koi out of the original 7-8 appeared to have survived the dirty water in the pond with a barely working pump, and no pump working for multiple months :-)

As normal when Amazon fulfilled the order it was received fast and on time,the pump is built of durable plastic and designed for continuous use, there was no need to prime the pump.I had this installed and operational in under 10min. This is a strong pump and pumps more water than I expected. Manufactures always seems to over state what a given product can do, but in this case Tetra understates the flow of this pump. It is rated as 4000GPH but in reality it does 4500GPH. Well done Tetra. I will be buying a 2nd one soon. I am impressed.
