Bought this TotalPond A20023 64-Ounce Pond Algaecide for my new waterfall/pond, because of the string algae growth. For some reasons, which is unknown to me, the product got rid of the algae the first time I tried, using a small bottle that I bought from Home Depot. So I bought the large 64 oz product from Amazon. This time, it did not work as well. It got rid of the string algae that grew on the rocks, but the pond water turned green. I even drain the pond water and tried it the second time. The water turned green again. Talked to the manufacturer representative. He told me that there may be excess phosphate in the water I used, and suggested that I add a phosphate remover. I did. It did not help. I am still looking for a good product that will eliminate the algae but will not damage the color of the stones in the pond, if I use the chlorinated pool products
