Best used to maintain clear water, not to clean itOct 26, 2011

I have found that this algaecide works best in already clean water. I don't remember what the label says, it may state that already. But for the record: I cleaned my fountain, added fresh water and this product (a cap-full every week) and it maintained clean and clear water for nearly a year.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a fountain. As I don't have a "pond", I cannot say how well it works for that.
