Want a cleaner fish pond?Jul 16, 2011
By Jim Sheppard For the last couple of years I have been seeing less and less of the fish in my pond. I asked a local fish pond shop how to go about getting cleaner water. They mentioned various types of chemical type cleaners, but added that really none of them worked. However if I was to buy an ultra violet type pond cleaner, they do work. I looked at various models and decided that I didn't want to spend that sort of money right now. When I got home the thought occurred to me to look at reviews on this type of product on the internet, but what I actually came up with was the Amazon site selling the same article at less than half the price that I saw in the fish pond shop. So I thought "what the heck" and ordered one. It, believe it or not arrived in three days. I installed the clarifier, as they like to call it, with little effort, and waited. Well it started to clear the green algae out in about two or three days and continues to get cleaner. Now I don't expect miracles because there is a certain amount of sludge on the bottom that unless I physically remove it, the clarifier can't. But I can now see my fish probably three or four inches below the surface, the lilly's have gone crazy, to the point that I will have to remove some leaves. So I can only think that both the fish and plant life like the algae free water, and it looks a 100% better.Well worth the money!!!

Greenwater killerFeb 20, 2012

Was not getting the correct results with the current installed UVC so opted to buy a new one. Of all the advertised products this one had the right price. Unfortunately did not get a chance to chance out the old one for this one. Just a few days before the unit arrived the installed pump was changed for a higher gph version. That resolved the green water issue. Will keep this as a backup or maybe sell it off. Looking at product it is of a better quality then the current one i have. Will ponder and decide when appropriate.

By Patricia J. Ward My pond was so green that I could not see any fish. The clarifier began to clear the water in a few days. In about two weeks, I could see the bottom. Wonderful!!
