Good but not greatApr 17, 2012
By In no sense guilty MUCH brighter then their "10 watt" UW16205 models. The cord is about 40 inches between lights allowing much more flexibility in placement compared to only 18 inches for their UW16205 which is the same as the re-branded Smart Pond LDS10W3. Both have 16-17 feet between the lights and the detector. The UW16205/LDS10W3 has only 12 inches from the detector to the plug so you will need a rock to set it on or and extension cord because no GFCI plug should be within a foot on the ground around a pond. The model has 20 inches which is still too short to allow any flexible placement but at least it will not be hanging in the air like with the UW16205/LDS10W3. I should be several feet and near the pond not the plug. Unlike some models you can not use color lens nor aim them. The angle suggests these are for placing in the water and around a fountain since it's probably about 80 degrees or something. They are heavy enough they they will not get easily shifted around by accident unlike the UW16205/LDS10W3 which have almost no weight and are easily accidentally moved out of position while doing activities like cleaning filter box. These mostly stay where you place them. Place them at night so you can rotate them to aim as desired. As mentioned they do not point straight up but at a slight angle. Smart Pond sells a similar re-branded "LVSL" product. Th price is the same regardless of brands / merchant. Good luck finding out any technical specifications!!
