Very easy to use, convenient, and economicalAug 28, 2007
By Bernie and Shana Bell I'd checked out the other auto feeders out there, and didn't like the idea of sinking $20 into a feeder for our new cat. However, I knew we couldn't take him on vacations with us, and sending him to a kennel didn't seem like the answer. So, I ran across these at a local retail store for just under $4.00 (most well know discount retail store around). It is great! I also have the auto-waterer from Van Ness, and both items are super convenient. I only have to fill them about once per week, and that makes leaving kitty for a day or two no problem. His food does not spill like it did with a conventional food bowl. Filling the waterer without spilling it takes a little practice, but the level meter works great and does not overfill the bowl. I'd recommend these to anyone who is looking for an automatic pet feeding system.

didn't auto feedMar 08, 2011
By M. Johnson We bought the Van Ness auto feeder for our cat, but were unhappy with it. We tried several different dry cat foods, but it just wouldn't auto feed. It had to be shaken to get more food to come down out of the canister.

Nice product.Mar 03, 2011
By Forrest The item that came in is a different design than pictured. More rounded shapes all around, and it's a bit nicer to look at than the squared one in the pic. It works very well. The feeding dish portion is bigger than previous feeders I've owned, which makes it easier for the kittahs to get at their grub. The manufacturing quality is very nice, it snaps together just right. I would recommend to a friend.

life saverApr 04, 2010
By R. Narvaez If you pet can moderate his/her eating this works so well for weekend trips away from your pet.
my cats didn't like itMay 12, 2012
By KT The product was perfect, but my 2 cats didn't like it...which is kind of disappointing. I got it to feed them when I went out of town for a couple days, they ate a little bit. My mom came over to check on them and ended up refilling their food bowls, which were empty when I came home. It is easy to fill and I will probably end up donating it to a shelter here in town. They love the water one though and I am now using that on a daily basis!
