CautionMar 07, 2012
By handicapped shopper Just read the label and cancelled my order. My dog LOVES these, but they come from China! There have been severe life threatening issues with chicken dog products from China. Buy at your own risk. I just cancelled an order of 60 of them! IF they were NOT from China, I would have been thrilled to get them at this price. VitaLife is cancelling this product, thus the reduced price!

I never knew dogs like bananas...Sep 07, 2010
By C. Humphrey Until I picked these up at a local store the other day. All 3 go ape, and they have made a wonderful treat and training aid! I'm also happy because they have no additives, and only have 3 ingredients (banana, chicken, coconut oil). I will definitely continue to buy them!

My Maltese favorite treatJul 02, 2010

"Lucy"
My girl Molly loves these sooo much! When she has to be put in her crate at nite I always give her a Vitalife Chicken and Banana treat. She runs to her crate and is happy to hop right in when she knows she is getting her favorite treat before bedtime. The store I had been buying these stopped carrying them so I was soooo happy to find that I could buy them on Amazon.

made in china, irradiation, my dog didn't enjoy itJan 24, 2012
By abbeyL I knew I was taking a gamble on these, but thought i.ll risk the 6bucks. I checked the vitalife webpage, it indicated all their products are manufactured in their thailand facility, etc...maybe I understood wrong but the package says 'product of china'. Plus, it says '...All Natural Dog Treats are treated by Irradiation. Always wash hands thoroughly with soap & water after handling any dog treats. Not for human consumption.' Why would I want this for my dog? They make it sound poisonous. I will return this as well as the 'Healthy Hips & Joints, rawhide wrapped w.oven baked chicken'.

WARNING: WAY PAST EXPIRATION DATE AND MADE IN CHINAMar 28, 2012
By Thrifty Shopper I just received this item. I gave one to each of my dogs, and they seemed to like them. Then I noticed that the expiration date was April 2011, which means that this package has been expired for a year. I looked at the online reviews to see if anyone else has had this problem, and it seems to be a recurring problem for several of this sellers dog treats. I also noticed that another reviewer mentioned that the treats are made in CHINA. I looked at my package, and sure enough it says "Product of China", even though the item description had not mentioned it. I thought that Vitalife was supposed to be a good company, so I had not even thought to check about where these treats were made. If I had known that these were made in China, I certainly would not have purchased them because of all of the serious problems from dog products that were made there. Thank goodness the other reviewer mentioned it, or I probably would never have noticed it. I promptly threw the entire package away, and I just pray that my babies won't have any problems from the one treat that they each had. I have learned my lesson. No matter what the brand name, I will check EVERY package of dog treats or dog food from now on to see where they were made. This item should be removed from Amazon. Even if you didn't have a problem with them coming from China, a year past expiration date is just ridiculous. This may seem like a "good deal", but it DEFINITELY is not. I have bought MANY things from Amazon over the years, and I have never written a review, but I just wanted to make sure that everyone saw that these were made in China and wouldn't make the same mistake that I did. --- P.S. I tried to give this item a zero-star rating, but apparently Amazon won't let you do that, hence the one-star rating.
