My lionhead rabbit absolutely loved to lounge in this hammock... that is until she chewed through the clips from which you hang the hammock. She still curls up on it while it's on the ground, but it does lose the effect. I would recommended it for more mature pets who aren't as likely to chew through the supports.

I loved this product. I like that it came in different colors every time and my rats like it better than their expensive pocketed hammock and it's holding up better than old one. The price is more than worth it, it's absolutely great.

I got one of these for my two fancy rats. Within one day one of the fabric "arms" had been chewed off, within a week a second "arm" had been chewed off so it hung like a curtain. I didn't remove it from the cage as the rats seemed to enjoy the privacy it offered.
A week later, I noticed two holes in the red fabric near the top where it was still hanging from the cage. The rats had decided to make these holes to climb inside and use it as a nest when they weren't in their home at the bottom of the cage.
So while it isn't getting use per its design it is getting used. It would be nice to have had the straps that attach it to the cage to be chew proof. At least for longer than one day.

The product came super fast..packed very well..easy to use and install and my cats love them!!! From the time they were small kittens, they have climbed into the little hammocks and "hung" out with their sisters and brothers!! Great product...and it holds up under 4 cats climbing in and out at about 8 pounds each!

This is my second hammock for two guinea pigs. The first one (different brand) had long, thin straps and had more of a curvy shape to it, but one of the straps got all twisted up and snapped in the dryer. I always thought I'd get around to sewing the strap back together, but I gave in and bought a new one.
This one is a plain square with shortish straps and big plastic clips. I thought the plain square wouldn't look as nice as my last hammock, but I actually don't mind the way it looks in the cage at all. I agree with other reviewers about the annoyance of not being able to choose my own color, which is the reason I'm only giving it 4 stars. I happened to get a lovely green that works well with other pieces in my guinea pigs' home, but I'm thinking of ordering a second one and can't bet that it'll match. Yes, it's just a cage and they don't care...but it does sit in the middle of my living room, so I like to keep it looking nice!
So far, the biggest problem is that Mama Pig likes to hide under it and Baby Pig (who is near fully grown) likes to jump into it. Mama gets understandably upset when she gets knocked around by Baby, but when Mama starts to snip about it, Baby seems to enjoy having the advantage of height from her hammocked position. I assume they'll come to an understanding soon...until then, it's hilarious to watch Mama learn what being the underdog feels like!
A big advantage of hammocks is that they doesn't take up any floor space. Guinea pigs need space to run and move, so the hammock provides cover/hiding spot as well as a snuggle spot and something to do (jump in and out), all without taking precious floor space. We use fleece bedding that I vacuum once every day or two, so it also gives the advantage of a cage toy I don't have to move for cleaning! I use a C&C cage, and the height of this product works well -- high enough to be off the ground, low enough to jump in and out of easily. Guinea pigs typically don't chew on straps, etc., like rats do, so I don't anticipate problems there. These straps are also wider and shorter than the straps on my previous hammock purchase, so they should last through a few test nibbles.
When we first got our girls, I spent a lot of money trying out different toys for them, but the hammock is one of my favorites. When I buy a replacement or second hammock for the cage, I would choose this product over the last hammock I tried...but I really wish I could pick my own color!
