Bought it as a backup and when I had to use it it did not have a battery. No biggy it would be nice if it was mentioned though. Works good for the price.

I use it in a turtle tank and you can drop it in the water or in the basking area. Shows temp in tenths of a degree. Comes with battery and suction cup.

I have one of these for my leopad gecko. It works well, and according to my temperature gun it's accurate. It also has incredibly battery life. I've had it on for almost a year and haven't changed the batteries yet!

I've gotten two of these thermometers...I use one for the "cool" side of my corn snake's vivarium, and use the other for her feeding box. They work well, reads the temp accurately from where the probe is located at. I plan on getting more when I add another snake to our family.

I purchaced a pair of these for my leopard gecko tank to replace the stick on type I had. these are better than what I had, and I recommend these as a visual back-up only to an IR temp gun
