Works as described. No odor and really retains the nutrient well. Using it for hydroponics both indoor and out. Great for cloning tomatoes too. Very pleased.

I have had hermit crabs for about a year now and, though I read quite a bit when I got them, I failed to appreciate how important it is to them to be able to burrow and hide. I first used sand, but it was too dense and a bit messy. They didn't dig it;<]
After losing a molting crab because it could not hide and insulate itself during the process, I found this product and ordered it. My crabs love it and I'm happy. It's cheap and very simple to use, clean, and ultimately replace.

Luckily I found right after I bought this product that this is bad to use for Crested Geckos, so my Crested is still alive unlike some stories I have heard concerning other peoples geckos. They should really take Crested Geckos off of the packaging and it gives no warning on the bag. Although the purchase wasn't a total waste. It helps keep my crickets alive a lot longer, so I just went ahead and used this with the crickets for their bedding.

I bought this for a humid cage 75% to 90% humidity. It worked great for about a month or so. My plants grew great in it. Had a four layer system and would mist daily. It started molding. Had to completely re-do my cage. Good bedding, just not for what I needed.

This is all I buy, every 2 month and for years now. I have 7 Leopard tortoises, the eldest is 4 years. I use this as their bedding when I bring them inside at night. Its also good because when I can't take them outside when it's raining, they can eat their greens and it doesn't hurt them when they ingest this, its made of Cocoanut fiber.
