I use this Sphagnum Moss as a medium for my orchids. It works very well, and doesn't break down quickly.

What is there to say? This is Sphagnum Moss. I use it in my crabitat for my Hermit Crabs. It does a good job at retaining moisture, and the crabs love it. I was worried that it might contain some chemicals that would harm them, but no, it's just good ol' Sphagnum Moss. Five stars.

I purchased this so I could repot some orchids. Their two years was up, and they were due for repotting. I could tell, because I had quite a few gnats flying around them. Gnats like to nibble on decomposing peat moss. Otherwise, they're just a nuisance. They don't hurt anything.
I mixed this with orchid bark and repotted everything. The quality of the moss seems excellent, and performs as expected, except for one thing. A couple of months after repotting, I'm getting a few gnats again. Not many, not enough to be a nuisance, even. But still, it's always taken at least a year for gnats to appear when I repot my orchids. I think this will not last long and I'll have to repot sooner rather than later.
It may just have been the package I received, but it's noteworthy. Still, I would purchase this again.
