My turtles love itJul 05, 2007
By kay_c My turtles have grown since I purchased their original turtle dock. They were getting so large that they sunk the old turtle dock (small), so I knew I needed a larger one. The product is just what my turtles needed so that they can come out of the water to bask. The only odd thing is that when it arrived (in its original packaging) it was kind of oily and sandy feeling, but I just washed it off.

Smart design, epic failDec 01, 2011
By KimieKim When i first purchased his product, i was a new turtle owner of 4 red eared sliders. I bought the dock at Petsmart, thinking it was a good idea as a basking area for my turtles. Unfortunately, once I installed the thing onto my tank, I noticed how slim the chances were of the turtles actually getting on to the device. Their little claws don't give them much purchase and they are unable to climb onto the dock. It has a small angled descent that is supposed to help the turtles climb on but it was not enough for my turtles to make it. Yea, the price is somewhat decent but its a lot more cheaper and more wiser to just grab some rocks from the backyard and make a dock oneself. At least that is a guaranteed way of knowing your turtles will be able to climb it.

Great RockMar 11, 2011
By Brandon I have been searching for a basking rock to fit my 40 gallon breeder and this one fits perfectly, and also it a prefect fit for my turtle. The basking rock fits nicely and is the exact width of the tank.

Works as advertisedAug 13, 2008
By Chicken Little May not be pretty as my 4 year old put it, but it looks like the picture and works as stated. I do have a very small turtle though I added weights to my dock and it will hold 1 lb 5 oz up out of the water before sinking under.
Had the grainy sand stuff but rinsed it off before putting in the tank (who would not wash something new before exposing there animals to it any way?). No scrubbing as it is foam afterall. I like it, my kid's turtle likes it, and it is as advertised so thumbs up.
I also think it is great ZooMed provides products I can afford that work. I also use their turtle filter.
Paint ProblemMay 24, 2012
By valbval Great until I noticed that the paint was coming off and leaking into the water.I love that you can adjust it to where you need with the suction cups but I must recommend a good scrub down and soak before you place in the tank.
