I bought these for my indoor Eastern Painted Turtle. He's ~ 4.5 inches long and has a 20-gallon tank. We have overhead lights that clamp on the side of the tank. This bulb is higher wattage than the previous bulbs we had, and it seems that this bulb is pretty hot. Speedy the turtle doesn't sit as close to these lights as he did to our previous 60-watt bulbs. But all in all, this seems a good product, if hotter than our earlier ones.

I ordered this on mistake while making a wishlist (stupid one click and prime membership)for my turtle and didn't notice the order till it was way to late but it's a very nice lamp and my turtle seems to bask a lot more then it did with its older 60watt lamp.

I bought this lamp and it came just in time and it really works! The best part is that my turtle splashed water on it and it did not stop working like other lamps. I really recommend this lamp!

I purchased these lights for a smaller lamp. Diameter is to big and I need to return them. Other wise these lights are great.

Purchased two of these one worked perfectly until it was dropped inadvertenlty, the 2nd didn't light up at all. Amazon exchanged it but the replacement did not light up either. I had heard good things about this light as my older ones (different brands) kepts failing after only a couple of months. I ended up switching to a blue light we will see how long this one lasts.
