JUNK!Jun 02, 2010
By Brian J. Krueger Do not buy this timer. It's absolutely unreliable garbage. It loses its programs randomly and resets itself. It worked well for a month, but with the latest incident it was stuck in the ON position for an entire weekend leaving my tank exposed to light for 72hrs (Tank is in my office). My inverts were completely annoyed with 2 peppermint shrimp deaths (I imagine they starved because they are nocturnal feeders) and my anemone lifted off its rock to find a shadier location in the tank. Skip this timer and just use some powerstrips and old school dial light timers. Check out the reviews for this product over at marinedepot too. They're very similar!

Wasn't Pleased with this ProductMay 27, 2011
By BigMike I read the negative reviews here about this item but figured people weren't putting the battery in or something. I was disappointed when I initially received the item because the description made it out like you could have a separate timer for two sets of outlets. Not true. While one set is on, the other is off. So really you can only set a timer for one set. Secondly, it doesn't keep an accurate time. With battery connected as specified (there's only one way) the time and day would just change without prompt. I purchased two and returned two. Went to Walmart and purchased a two outlet digital timer for $17.00. Works great.

Junk ... Do not buyFeb 18, 2011
By Nigel Cheung Wish I had done more research on this product. The last person to give a review is absolutely correct. The unit runs on a battery - why would they design it to run on a battery when it plugs into the mains? Stupid design. If you happen to plug in a device when the strip is on, the timer resets. Any slight power surge causes the timer to reset. Do not buy this! Good idea in theory, poor design implementation!

Not Clear, but GoodJan 14, 2012
By Jim R Its is a nice product for the setting up of a Gecko cage. It is a little hard to program, instructions are not very clear.

EXCELLENT product, EXCELLENT PriceApr 21, 2010
By Louis I went to Home Depot, and found similar products to be in excess of $40! Measure the total wattage of your lamps, and as long as they do not go over the total wattage allowed for the strip, you can use adapters to increase the outlets. For example, I have three lamps that need to be on during the day. I plugged a three way adapter into the strip, and now I have four outlets for day use instead of just two. The product works perfectly, turning my day heat lamps on from 8am to 8pm, my night heat lamps on from 8pm to 8am, as well as providing four outlets for "always on" items.
