Brightly painted plastic, unlike picture of wooden branchSep 19, 2010

From the photo, I thought I was buying a piece of Cholla wood, but when the product arrived it was plastic, and painted an extremely garish bright shade of blue.
Although I was worried the paint would chip and be toxic, I put the climbing piece in there anyway and my hermit crabs loved climbing on it. But on one of my periodic inspections barely a month later, I noticed the paint was in fact chipping off, so it has been removed and thrown out.
Buyer beware, the accompanying photo of this product is a pretty serious misrepresentation. If you are concerned about your crabs' health, don't buy this toxic piece of trash. I recommend buying a *real* piece of Cholla wood from a pet store, or from a trusted online hermit crab supply source, since my crabs did love climbing up and down this.

This is a piece of blue plastic made to look like cholla wood. The blue is even rubbing off in the package.

It is not what I thought it would be at all. It is a piece of ugly green painted plastic! Don't buy this unless you don't mind some cheap piece of plastic.
